Julie Barsam-Cummings received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Tufts University and her Masters in Oriental Medicine from the New England School of Acupuncture, the nation's oldest college of Oriental Medicine. She is Board Certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and licensed by the Board of Registration in Medicine as a Licensed Acupuncturist (MA) and a Doctor of Acupuncture (RI). Julie has also completed advanced herbal training with Master Herbalist Dr. Tao Xie of the Aids Care Project and Pathways to Complementary Medicine. Specializing in both Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine, she is able to draw upon numerous disciplines to assist clients with their health goals.
Mark Whalen, M.A.O.M., Lic.Ac., Dipl.Ac., Dipl CH
Clinic Manager
Mark earned his Bachelor's degree from Bentley College in Waltham, MA and graduated from the New England School of Acupuncture in Watertown, MA with a Master's Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. He is Board-Certified and licensed to practice acupuncture in Massachusetts by the Board of Medicine Committee on Acupuncture. He is also a nationally Board-Certified Medical Herbalist who earned a Diplomat in Chinese Herbal Medicine from the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. His training focused on Chinese style acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. After graduation, he completed a year long internship with the renowned Master Herbalist Dr. Tao Xie at the Pathways to Wellness Clinic in Boston, MA.
Adriel Janeen Breault, Lic.Ac., M.T.C.M., Dipl. O.M.
After earning a Bachelors Degree from Lesley University, Adriel earned her Masters Degree of Traditional Chinese Medicine from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, CA, widely regarded as one of the top Acupuncture schools in the United States. Adriel's strong foundation in Traditional Chinese Medicine and diverse clinical experiences make her a very uniquely skilled practitioner. She is certified in Constitutional Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture ("Acupuncture Facelift") and Shiatsu Massage. Her clinical rotations included In-Patient Stroke Rehabilitation, Geriatrics, community and free care clinics, and a strong concentration in Pediatrics. To further her studies, Adriel interned for two years with Dr. Lifang Liang, Lic.Ac., OMD, the renowned Acupuncture-IVF specialist of the the West Coast. While working in the clinic, Adriel assisted Dr. Liang to author her book, Acupuncture and IVF.
A Diplomat of Oriental Medicine, Adriel has been Board Certified by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is licensed to practice Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine.
Annette Quail, Lic.Ac., M.A..O.M., Dipl.Ac.
Annette received her undergraduate degree at the University of Massachusetts where she earned a degree in Biology. Upon graduation, she served as a Biomedical Researcher at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Annette studied at the New England School of Acupuncture and obtained her Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, specializing in both Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine. She is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and practices both Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture.
Michelle Mingxia Lu, Lic.Ac., Dipl.Ac., Doctor in TCM (China)
Michelle studied traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in China. She earned her Bachelor's degree and Master's degree in Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Doctor's degree in Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She began to practice acupuncture and Chinese herbs in 1994. Later, she worked in the First Teaching Hospital of Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine for over five years, which is renowned for being the National Clinical Research Center of Acupuncture and one of the top TCM hospitals throughout China. She was conferred the professional title of associate professor in traditional Chinese medicine in 2003. A Diplomate of Acupuncture, Michelle has been Board Certified by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is licensed to practice Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine.
